RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 21st December 2011 it transferred to a participant in an employee share scheme 662 Ordinary Shares at a price of £14.4903 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 8,921,413 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 718,976,493.
