NORCON PLC
RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF SCANDINAVIAN OFFICE
Norcon plc ("Norcon"), the global communications network specialist, is pleased to announce the re-establishment of an active office in Scandinavia which, over time, will evolve in to a local sales function for Norcon. This development re-opens a market for Norcon in this region, and with time, in other European countries.
The Nordic countries remain at the forefront in rolling out the newest technology. Norcon sees particular opportunity in Norway, Sweden and Denmark, with operator launches of 4G recently completed in both Stockholm and Oslo and plans in the pipeline for national roll outs across the region.
The office will be headed by Stein Eitrheim who has been appointed to lead the efforts in the Scandinavian markets. Mr Eitrheim has significant experience of both the Scandinavian market place and the international telecom arena, having previously served on the management teams of Teleplan in Norway and the global telecom operator Telenor.
Welcoming the news, Norcon plc Chief Executive, Arnold Rørholt commented:
"We are very pleased to appoint Stein Eitrheim to head our Scandinavian efforts, as we once again gear up to target some of the long-term opportunities emerging in this important market place where Norcon has its roots."
