Antofagasta PLC16 May 2006 Antofagasta plc Recommended Final (including Special) Dividend of 94 cents per ordinary share-Dividend no 22 - amount payable in sterling London, 16 May 2006 Further to the preliminary results announcement of 14 March 2006, the sterlingequivalent of the recommended final dividend of 94 cents will be 49.9442 penceper ordinary share. This is based on an exchange rate of £1 = US$ 1.8821. Payment of the dividend is scheduled for Thursday 15 June 2006 subject toshareholders' approval at the Annual General Meeting of Antofagasta plc on 14June 2006.
