Punch Taverns PLC08 November 2007 Punch Taverns Plc Re: Directorate Punch Taverns Plc ("Punch" or "the Group") today announces the appointment oftwo new directors to the Board, with immediate effect. The Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Deborah Kemp to theBoard. Deborah has over 20 years' experience in the pub industry. She joinedPunch at its inception in 1998 and has held a number of senior positions withinthe Group prior to her appointment as Managing Director of the Leased Businessin March 2007. Deborah joins the Board as an Executive Director. In addition, Mark Pain joins the Board as a Non Executive Director. Aged 46,Mark brings with him approaching 10 years' experience as a FTSE 100 Main BoardDirector covering: housebuilding, retail and wholesale banking, consumer andbusiness finance and life assurance, both in the UK and selected Europeanmarkets. Mark is currently Chief Financial Officer of Barratt Developments plc. He waspreviously at Abbey National Group PLC, where he held a number of seniormanagement roles from 1989 to 2005 including Group Finance Director (1998-2001)and Customer Sales Director (2002-2005). Prior to this, Mark was at TSB Group PLC (1987-1989) and Touche Ross and Co.(now Deloitte & Touche). Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of CharteredAccountants (FCA).
