Kier Group PLC20 December 2007 KIER £100M SCHOOL'S SUCCESS Kier, bidding as part of the Land Securities Trillium consortium, has beenappointed preferred bidder by Kent County Council to deliver over £100m worth ofschools in the first wave within the first LEP of Kent's Building Schools forthe Future Programme. In future waves of the first LEP, Kier have the opportunity to deliver a further£150m worth of schools. BSF is a national initiative that aims to deliver 21st century schools for everysecondary school pupil in England. As such, it represents the single largestinvestment for improving school buildings in over 50 years. Kent's BSF Programme, established in 2006, aims to rebuild or renew itssecondary schools over a period of 10 - 15 years. Far from being just anotherschool building programme, BSF provides Kent with the opportunity to combinesignificant capital investment in state-of-the-art buildings and ICT facilitieswith a bold educational vision to transform teaching and learning and locateschools at the heart of their community.
