10 August, 2006 ROLLS-ROYCE TRENT 700 SELECTED BY HAINAN FOR ADDITIONAL A330s Hainan Airlines Group has confirmed that Rolls-Royce Trent 700s will power anadditional two leased A330s in a deal potentially worth around $100 million,including an option to cover the engines with a long-term TotalCare‚® servicesagreement.This new deal covers two aircraft to be leased from CIT Aerospace, a divisionof CIT Group. It is in addition to Hainan's selection of the Trent 700 to powera further five leased A330s, announced last month.Wang Jian, Vice Chairman of Hainan Airlines Group, said: "Our Trent-poweredA330s will form the backbone of our network expansion. Rolls-Royce has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian and Hong Kong, and recently opened a new marine facility in Shanghai. The company is also involved in two joint ventures - Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited (HAESL) in Hong Kong, and Xian Rolls-Royce Aerocomponents (XRA) in Xian. 4.
