Galliford Try PLC25 April 2007 GALLIFORD TRY WINS £110 MILLION NEW CONTRACTS Galliford Try, the construction and housebuilding group, is pleased to announcethat it has secured three new building contracts worth a combined total of £108million and its first contract under its new Environment Agency framework. The first of these contracts, valued at £41 million, is to construct the newMuseum of Liverpool. The building will be Liverpool's first new public buildingof the twenty first century and will stand in a prominent position at the city'sfamous waterfront. Completion is expected in early 2009. In the second contract, of £37 million, Galliford Try will construct 255apartments and 72 bungalows for the Larkhill Retirement Village in Clifton,Nottingham. The site will also comprise village facilities and extensivelandscaping features. Completion is expected in January 2009. The third contract, in excess of £30 million, is for Abbey Mills House in AbbeyStreet, Reading. Galliford Try will provide a 14 storey office block and 8storey affordable housing building. Work on the project begins in April 2007 andis expected to complete in January 2009. In addition, Galliford Try confirms that Morrison Construction, part of itsinfrastructure division, has secured its first contract, a £3 million floodalleviation scheme in Hereford, following its recent appointment as one of theEnvironment Agency's contractors on its 4 year framework for its £500 millionflood defence, waterways and water resources programme. Under the framework theGroup will carry out core works including land remediation and construction offlood defences.
