GALLIFORD TRY AWARDED £36 MILLION LONDON CONTRACTS

Galliford Try plc, the construction and housebuilding Group, announces that it has secured two contracts totalling £36 million in the education and hospitality sectors in London.

Galliford Try has been awarded a £20 million contract to build the new Harris Boys Academy in East Dulwich for The Harris Federation of South London Schools. The new Academy will boast a number of eco features to achieve 20% carbon reduction criteria through a combination of renewable energy technologies. Completion is expected by July 2010.

Galliford Try has also been awarded a £15.8 million contract to develop a Four Star 178-room hotel in Waterloo, the first hotel in the UK for the Spanish based hotel chain, H10. The hotel will incorporate a biomass boiler and is designed to achieve a high level of renewable energy usage and excellent thermal and acoustic insulation. Work is expected to be completed in December 2009.
