Morgan Sindall PLC05 September 2006 Morgan Sindall plc("Morgan Sindall") Morgan Est in £91.8m joint venture to upgrade Belfast's sewerage system Morgan Sindall's infrastructure services provider Morgan Est with joint-venturepartner Belfast-based contractor Farrans (Construction) Ltd, has been awardedthe Stormwater Management Works contract, a three-year, £91.8 million scheme toupgrade Belfast's sewerage system for Northern Ireland Water Service. Under the terms of the deal, worth approximately £61.5 million to Morgan Est,the companies will design, build, test and commission a 9.4 km tunnel, up tofour metres in diameter, under the city centre to the Duncrue WastewaterTreatment Works. The contract also involves the construction of a terminalpumping station housed inside a 40-metre diameter underground structure, a new6,000m(3) stormwater tank and marine outfall.
