AMEC awarded Judy and Jasmine contract in North Sea
AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, announced today that it has been awarded both the detailed engineering and procurement for ConocoPhillips' existing Judy platform and the hook-up and commissioning of their new Jasmine facilities in the North Sea, 240 kilometres south-east of Aberdeen.
Jasmine is a high pressure, high temperature (HP/HT) gas-condensate reservoir, discovered in June 2006. It is located approximately nine kilometres west of the existing Judy platform in ConocoPhillips' J-Block area. Jasmine will use the existing processing capacity on the Judy platform, with first production anticipated to start in the fourth quarter of 2012.
"I am delighted that our long track record of delivery of major and complex projects for ConocoPhillips, including on this field itself, has been recognised through this significant contract award," said John Pearson, Managing Director of AMEC's Europe & West Africa business. "It is a clear measure of both our and our customer's commitment to the future of the North Sea as well as another step forward in our Vision 2015 business strategy."
