AMEC and BP enter into another long-term strategic contract, for onshore projects
AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, has entered into a global agreement with BP International Ltd to provide Engineering and Project Management Services (EPMS) for BP's onshore facilities developments around the world. This is in addition to the global agreement for offshore EPMS projects signed in June 2008.
AMEC is one of two companies selected by BP for this long-term agreement, which sets all the principles of collaborative working for the next four years with an option to extend. It will enable BP's onshore project management teams to access AMEC's international resources where and when required.
"We are delighted that BP has chosen us to be one of their strategic partners as they seek to grow their business," said Neil Bruce, Chief Operating Officer of AMEC.
"This additional agreement to provide our engineering and project management services for their onshore projects, as well as offshore projects, reflects again our leading position in engineering and project management and our ability to support our customer wherever needed."
Ron Reeves, AMEC's President of Business Consulting and Strategic Account Manager for BP said: "This is a tremendous result for AMEC, succeeding against the best competition in the industry. This will allow us to build upon the excellent work we are currently doing for BP with both their onshore and offshore projects globally. Our ambition to deliver the best engineering and project management services in a consistent way around the globe has been recognised and we are delighted."
