GALLIFORD TRY APPOINTED ON £19 MILLION OF RAIL WORK 

Galliford Try plc, the construction and housebuilding group, announces that it has been awarded two rail contracts totalling £19 million. Galliford Try will undertake a £13 million regeneration project at Newport station in South Wales for Network Rail, scheduled to be completed by Autumn 2010. Galliford Try has also been awarded a £6m contract by London Underground to upgrade 12 former Silverlink stations on the London Overground line. The contract is for electrical, telecommunications and civils works. Greg Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of Galliford Try, commented: "We are delighted to secure new work in the rail sector for both Network Rail and London Underground, underlining our capacity to provide clients with a single source construction solution to their projects."
