Spice PLC07 December 2006 7 December 2006 Spice plc Contract EDF Energy - "Provision of Services for the Inspection and Undertaking theMaintenance of Building and Civil Assets including Key Associated ManagementFunctions". The Board of Spice plc ('Spice') is pleased to announce that its UtilityServices business has been selected as the preferred bidder to providemanagement and maintenance services to all three licensed areas of EDF Energy'sNetwork Business in relation to the maintenance of their buildings and civilassets. It is anticipated that the related contract will be signed by 31December 2006. Spice was incumbent in two out of three EDF Energy license areasand therefore this contract would represent a substantial expansion of works. This contract is anticipated to be for five years with an option to extend for afurther five years to December 2017. The average turnover value to Spice hashistorically been approximately £18 million per annum. This contract underpinsSpice's visibility of future revenues. Work activities will include groundsmaintenance, building fabric repairs, fencing and major civil replacementschemes.
