Spice PLC21 December 2006 21 December 2006 Spice plc Contract EDF Energy - Workstream One - Major Substation Projects The Board of Spice plc ('Spice') is pleased to announce that its UtilityServices business has been selected to work as a key service partner to EDFEnergy Network Business in connection with delivering improvements to itselectrical distribution networks and infrastructure throughout London, the SouthEast and the East of England. The contract is for four years with an option to extend for a further five yearsto December 2016. The average estimated turnover value per annum is expected tobe £10 million. Work activities will focus on the investment in, and upgrade of,EDF Energy Networks Major 132/33KV substations. As a result of this, Spice willestablish new offices in East Anglia and the South East, within which we will beworking alongside client staff from EDF Energy Networks Business as part of anintegrated project delivery team. Spice has previously announced in May 2006 that its Utility Services businesshad been awarded two five year contracts for the provision of volume assetreplacement services to EDF Energy Network Business - the contracts cover 11KVSwitchgear changes in Eastern England and the South East.
