21 July, 2006 ROLLS-ROYCE SHARES IN V2500 ENGINE ORDER FROM WIZZ AIR Rolls-Royce has won business worth around $200 million as its share in an orderfor V2500 engines from Wizz Air, Central Europe's largest low-cost airline.International Aero Engines (IAE), in which Rolls-Royce is a senior partner,will supply the V2500s to power 20 firm plus 12 option Airbus A320 seriesaircraft.Earlier this week, at the Farnborough International Airshow, IAE celebrated theproduction of the 3,000th V2500. The programme has over 120 customers, withtotal orders in excess of $35 billion.IAE's partners are Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney, the Japanese Aero EnginesCorporation and MTU Aero Engines.The 22,000 - 33,000lb thrust V2500-A5 is available in seven different thrustsettings to power the Airbus A319, A320, A321 and A319 Corporate Jet.
