Babcock International Group PLC13 September 2007 13 September 2007 Babcock International Group PLC ("Babcock" or the "Group") Award of £45 million Facilities Management Contract Babcock International Group PLC, the support services company, announces thatDebut Services Ltd, its joint venture company with Bovis Lend Lease, has beenawarded a contract by the UK Ministry of Defence for the Bristol Bath TotalFacilities Management project (BB TFM), covering the MoD sites at Abbeywood,Ensleigh, Foxhill, Warminster Road, Corsham Computer Centre andWestbury-on-Trym. The sites included within the BB TFM project have a combined customer occupancyof over 10,000 MoD personnel. Babcock will provide both 'hard' and 'soft'facilities management services at these locations. The BB TFM project, worth in excess of £45 million to Babcock over a three yearperiod, with an option for the MoD to extend for a further three years, will beintegrated into the Regional Prime Contract South West (RPC SW) already managedby Debut Services Ltd. Service delivery is due to commence in December 2007.The existing RPC SW contract commenced in March 2004 and is worth approximately£500 million over its seven year period. The contract covers estate management services foralmost 200 sites and encompasses some 9,000 assets within the southwest region.The seven-year contract started March 2004 and includes facilities managementservices across a broad property portfolio including airfields and trainingestablishments and a framework arrangement for the design and construction ofnew projects across the estate.
