Transense Technologies PLC06 July 2006 Transense Technologies plc ("Transense") is pleased to announce that it hassigned a technical collaboration agreement with Texas Instruments Inc ("TI"),the world leader in Digital Signal Processors ("DSP"), and a supplementalproduction agreement with Melexis. Transense engineers have been working with TI for over three years to perfectthe merging of Transense's algorithms into TI's DSP, which can be used for bothtyre pressure monitoring ("TPMS") and torque applications. These algorithms provide the interface which converts and formats theinformation gathered by Transense's Application Specific Integrated Circuit ("ASIC"). They support the integration of Transense's technology with that of itslicensees' and their respective customers' systems. In addition to the agreement with TI, Transense has also agreed a supplement toits agreement with Melexis to commence volume production of the Transense ASIC. Commenting on the developments, Jim Perry, Chief Executive of Transense, said: "We believe that today's developments represent a further significant steptowards the commercialisation of our technology. Both TI and Melexis arereputable suppliers to the automotive industry worldwide and the combination oftheir respective expertise has gone a long way towards putting our technology onthe map. The decision by TI to collaborate with Transense confirms our beliefthat we have the best technology in the world for TPMS and automotive torqueapplications." Jean-Claude Soroka, General Manager for the C2000 DSP at Texas Instruments DSPControllers commented: "We are delighted to be working with Transense to put the exciting solution ofsurface acoustic wave ("SAW") sensor technology to the automotive market. Thepast three years of intense technical exchanges between Transense and our DSPexperts have been an enjoyable innovation experience. We foresee a great andfruitful future in the long-term collaboration with Transense. "There is no doubt that both the pressure and torque sensor markets are hugeopportunities. We are very confident that our joint efforts will bring SAWsensor innovation to the next level and we are looking forward to Transense'spatented technology being deployed worldwide."
