The FUB is a non-profit organization thathas the task in Italy of developing and assisting the shift from analogue toDigital Terrestrial Television (DTT), with particular focus on digital TV. Underthe agreement, Telit and the FUB will develop a new concept for theimplementation of wireless interactive services on the return channel. The solution offers two main advantages: firstly, the management of the returnchannel via wireless technology enables real-time functionality in an"always-on" mode, and this, in addition to guaranteeing true interactivity, willhelp the true development of evolved interactive services. Secondly, theuniversal remote-control can dialogue with every single set-top-box that will beinstalled in homes to manage interactive services.
