Galliford Try PLC12 February 2007 Galliford Try Appointed Preferred Bidder for Epsom Hospital Site Galliford Try PLC the construction and house building group is pleased toannounce that in joint partnership with Crest Nicholson PLC it has beenconfirmed as preferred bidder on national regeneration agency EnglishPartnerships' planned redevelopment of the 54 hectare (133 acres) Epsom ClusterHospital Site in Epsom Surrey. The project will provide approximately 700 homes across the Cluster site around40% of which will be affordable. Galliford Try will also use its specialistexpertise to renovate key existing former hospital buildings to providerefurbished period apartments. Further plans for the site include communityparks and a workspace, a hotel and conference centre, and 1000 sq m ofcommercial accommodation. All new build homes will achieve an Eco Homes rating of "Excellence" and therewill be a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions across the site. Work will begin insummer 2007 and completion is expected in 2011.
