ArmorGroup International plc23 May 2007 ArmorGroup International plc Teaming agreement with American United Logistics ArmorGroup International plc ("ArmorGroup"), the leading international providerof protective security services, today announces a teaming agreement withAmerican United Logistics ("AUL"), one of the leading logistics companies in theMiddle East with a strong market share in Iraq. The teaming agreement will makeArmorGroup the exclusive protective security provider for AUL in Iraq. ArmorGroup has already been working closely with AUL for some time through theprovision of protective security to AUL's logistic convoys in support of USGovernment programmes. ArmorGroup believes that AUL's recent award by the USGovernment of a GFM (Global Freight Management) US CO5 license, which allows itto move military cargo and freight, will significantly increase the number ofconvoys AUL will be conducting throughout Iraq. ArmorGroup expects to see continuing growth in revenues from logistics supportin Iraq, with a significant programme of backloading of coalition militaryequipment out of Iraq, primarily through Umm Qasr port, over the next three tofive years. ArmorGroup expects this support activity, important but non-corefor the military, to be outsourced in line with US Government policy andbelieves AUL is in an excellent position to be a major supplier of theseservices. ArmorGroup is now the largest convoy security provider in Iraq, with asignificant proportion of its 1,200 employees assigned to these tasks. In 2006ArmorGroup teams carried out almost 1,200 convoy support missions, representingaround 30% of all registered convoy missions in Iraq. ArmorGroup has beensuccessfully escorting development and reconstruction cargo for the US, UK andJapanese Governments and major international organisations throughout Iraq sinceApril 2003. Dave Seaton, ArmorGroup's Chief Executive Officer, commented: "We are very pleased that we are now formally AUL's exclusive protectivesecurity provider in Iraq. With our unrivalled experience of convoy protectionand AUL's leading position in support of the US Government's logistic programmewe believe there is significant, long term potential in further increasing ourmarket share in this growing sector of the market."
