Fitch Ratings Reaffirms "BBB-" Rating with "Stable" Outlook for Electrica

Societatea Energetica Electrica S.A. informs investors and the capital market that the international rating agency Fitch Ratings has reaffirmed the company's Long-Term Rating at "BBB-" with a "Stable" outlook. More details can be found here: Societatea Energetica Electrica S.A. Credit Ratings: Fitch Ratings.

"This confirmation comes at a moment of maturity for the Group, validating the resilience of our business model following the success achieved in 2025 by shifting from a 'Negative' to a 'Stable' outlook. It reflects Electrica's ability to maintain financial stability and a solid credit profile, supported by outstanding operational performance and a predictable regulatory framework. We believe that the maintenance of this rating by Fitch Ratings confirms that the Group has entered a cycle of sustainable growth. By optimizing our financing structure and focusing on operational efficiency, we reaffirm our status as a key player in the energy market and a stable, attractive issuer for the investment community," declared Mr. Alexandru Chiri, CEO.

Investors are reminded that Electrica's positive trajectory is underpinned by the remarkable preliminary financial results reported for 2025. The Group recorded a record net profit of RON 1.22 billion, representing a 159% increase over the previous year, while EBITDA rose to RON 2.38 billion, 64.5% above the 2024 level. These historic figures reflect increased operational efficiency and optimal capital management, which allowed the company to exceed its planned investment program, achieving a commissioning rate of 115% against the set target. The growth of the Regulated Asset Base to over RON 8.6 billion strengthens the predictability of future cash flows and provides a foundation for long-term financial stability.
