r4e clients scoop 14 Tony Awards

Kinky Boots big winner with six awards

r4e clients enjoyed great success at the recent Tony Awards, winning a total of 14 awards, including the Best Musical, Best Music Revival and Best Play, which are three of the four most coveted Tony awards.

SpotCo's (r4e's New York-based arts and live entertainment marketing and advertising agency) client Kinky Boots was the big winner on the night, securing six of the 13 categories in which it was nominated, including Best Musical and Best Original Score. This is the sixth year in a row that SpotCo has launched the Tony Award winning Best Musical.

Many other SpotCo clients received acclaim, including Best Revival of a Musical for Pippin, Best Play for Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike and further awards for Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella and Lucky Guy.

The Tony Awards, which are presented annually in New York by the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League, recognise outstanding achievement in Broadway theatre.

This success comes shortly after the great success of Dewynters' (r4e's London-based live entertainment marketing, branding and advertising agency) clients at the 37th Olivier Awards, which are recognised internationally as the highest honour in British theatre, where The Audience and Top Hat won five awards between them.
