cloudBuy (AIM: cbuy.L), the cloud eCommerce marketplace, announces it has been approved onto the Local Buy vendor panel for Council Business Systems. Local Buy provides a pre tendered list of suppliers for Queensland Local Government covering 77 organisations. The scope of the panel is for Consultancy Services, Installation, Maintenance and Support of Organisation Business Systems for Queensland Local Government.

There are 10 suppliers on the panel. cloudBuy is the only supplier on the panel for its areas of spend analysis, Procurement and eCommerce systems.

About Local Buy

Local Buy is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ). Local Buy's core business is the provision of comprehensive, value adding procurement services to Queensland Local Government. Under the Local Government Act 2009 and Regulations, Local Buy has the legislative power to establish LGA Arrangements on behalf of Queensland Local Government.

Local Buy is establishing a Register of Pre-Qualified Suppliers (RPQS) LGA Arrangement for Supply, Installation, Maintenance and Support of Council Business Systems for Queensland Local Government and other defined Purchasers. This is an LGA Arrangement as defined in s.234 of the Local Government Regulation 2012. The LGA Arrangement shall commence on 1st July 2014.

This LGA Arrangement was developed in response to interest and feedback provided by a number of Queensland councils and follows an extensive review, development and consultation process with Queensland Local Government undertaken when the original Council Business Systems LGA Arrangement was established.
