Sondex PLC21 April 2006 Friday 21st April 2006 Sondex plc ("Sondex" or the "Company") Sondex gains Queen's Award for International Trade Sondex, the UK-based oilfield technology group, has gained the Queen's Award forInternational Trade in recognition of its export achievement. The group designs, manufactures and sells drilling and wireline loggingequipment to optimise oil and gas recovery in mature oil fields throughout theworld. Exports, which account for about 95 per cent of the group's revenues,more than doubled to nearly £26 million per annum in the three years ended 2005. This is the second Queen's Award for Sondex. In 2000 the group gained theQueen's Award for Innovation in recognition of the success of its research anddevelopment programme. Some 10 per cent of the group's revenues are invested inR & D activities. Martin Perry, Chief Executive of Sondex, said: "We are delighted to be recognised with the International Trade award. Ouroutstanding export performance has been achieved through vigorous research andproduct development, a strong commitment to customer support, and a determinedmarketing effort involving the establishment of offices and manufacturingfacilities overseas."
