QinetiQ Group plc23 June 2006 QinetiQ Group plc23 June 2006 QinetiQ appoints US CEO QinetiQ, the international defence and security technology company, is pleasedto announce the appointment of Duane P. Andrews as chief executive officer ofits North American operations, with effect from 22 June 2006. Andrews was until recently chief operating officer at Science ApplicationsInternational Corporation (SAIC), the $7.8bn Fortune 500 research andengineering company. He has built a distinguished career in defence and securityboth within the US government and in the private sector. Prior to joining SAICin 1993, he was the US Department of Defense's (DOD) Assistant Secretary ofDefense for Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence. He has alsoserved on various US national security advisory groups and was a professionalstaff member with the House of Representatives' Permanent Select Committee onIntelligence. Commenting on the appointment, QinetiQ's chief executive Graham Love said: "I amdelighted to welcome to QinetiQ someone of Duane Andrews' extraordinary calibre.His extensive experience of developing business with the US government will beinvaluable as he implements QinetiQ's growth strategy, working with our existingUS companies and exploring further acquisitions potential."
