‎Qatar Airways equity stake in International Consolidated Airlines Group, SA ("IAG")

Doha, Qatar - On 17 May 2016 Qatar Airways announced that it had increased its shareholding in IAG to 15.01%. This shareholding was subsequently diluted as a result of the redemption of IAG's €390,000,000 1.75 per cent. Convertible Bonds due 2018, which increased the issued share capital of IAG. Qatar Airways wishes to clarify that, notwithstanding comments made and reported in the press on 11 July 2016, it currently holds a 15.67% shareholding in IAG and reiterates that it may consider increasing its stake further within the allowable limits. Non-EU shareholders of IAG including Qatar Airways are subject to an overall cap on non-EU ownership as a result of the requirement for EU airlines to be majority owned by EU shareholders.
