Tata Steel's Q3 FY'14 Key Production & Sales Figure
Jamshedpur, Jan 13, 2014: Tata Steel registered Hot Metal and Crude Steel production of 2.31 million tonnes (up by 1.6% y-o-y) and 2.16 million tonnes (up by 3.7% y-o-y) respectively for Q3 FY'14 (Q3). Saleable Steel production was higher by 3.9% y-o-y to 2.15 million tonnes and Sales increased by 9.4% y-o-y to 2.06 million tonnes.

Major Highlights
· Flat Product saleable steel production was best ever in Q3 at 1.48 million tonnes (previous best 1.46 million tonnes in Q4 FY'13).
· Performance of the newly commissioned facilities under the 3MTPA expansion:
a. Pellet Plant reached its rated capacity in Q3 and has produced more than 3.1 million tonnes of pellet YTD.
b. I Blast Furnace produced 2.3 million tonnes of Hot Metal YTD.
c. LD#3 & TSCR reached its rated capacity in Q3 and have produced 1.6 million tonnes YTD.
Other Highlights
· Tata Steel has been conferred the CII ITC sustainability prize for the sixth time.
