Purchase of Shares in Buyback Programme

12 June 2008

The Company announces that it purchased 250,000 of its ordinary shares of 

1.5625 pence each on 12 June 2008, through Numis Securities Limited at a price of  214 pence per share. These shares will be cancelled and will reduce the number 

of shares in issue to 161,256,090.

Following the cancellation of such shares, the Company's issued share capital 

consists of 161,256,090 ordinary shares all with voting rights.
