Bowleven plc ("Bowleven" or the "Company")
EMPLOYEE BENEFIT TRUST
Bowleven plc (the "Company") announces that on 12 August 2009 Osiris Trustees Limited, as trustee of the Bowleven plc Employee Benefit Trust (the "EBT"), purchased 658,374 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the capital of the Company ("Shares") at a price of 90.5 pence per Share.
Immediately following the above transaction, the EBT holds 658,374 Shares, representing approximately 0.34% of the Company's issued share capital of 192,973,318. It is anticipated that all such Shares held by the EBT will ultimately be used to satisfy awards and options granted under the Company's various share incentive arrangements.
