FBD Holdings PLC06 September 2007 Purchase of Own Shares FBD HOLDINGS PLC ("FBD" or the "Company") announces that the Company has todaypurchased 160,000 Ordinary Shares of €0.60 each (hereinafter "shares") in themarket at a price of €26.00 per share. The shares purchased are to be held astreasury shares. Issued Share Capital Update Following the above purchase FBD now holds 1,476,730 shares in treasury and has33,984,476 shares in issue, excluding the treasury shares. Confirmation of number of voting rights The total number of shares in issue which are both admitted to trading on theIrish Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange and carry voting rights is33,984,476. This number may be used by shareholders as the denominator for thecalculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify theirinterest, or a change to their interest, in FBD Holdings plc. Section 209 (3) of the Companies Act, 1990 effectively suspends any votingrights attaching to the 1,476,730 treasury shares for so long as they are heldin treasury.
