Purchase of Own Shares

Alternative Networks plc announces that on 1 July 2009 it purchased 110,154 of its own ordinary 0.125p shares for cancellation at a price of 100 pence per share.

Following this purchase, the total number of voting rights in Alternative Networks plc is  43,950,621.
