Purchase of own shares

SThree plc announces that on 1 October 2008, it purchased for cancellation, 60,000 ordinary shares of 1p each at an average price of 176.3251 pence per share.

The highest price paid was 181.25 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 172.875 pence per share.

For confirmation the Company's issued capital is now 123,937,347 ordinary shares of 1p each.
