Purchase of Own Securities

United Drug announces that on 12 July 2011, its broker Davy purchased 102,492 Ordinary Shares of nominal value €0.05 each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") on behalf of the Company. The price paid for these Ordinary Shares was €2.3702 per share.

The 102,492 Ordinary Shares will be cancelled. Following the cancellation of these shares, the Company's issued share capital will reduce from 241,333,183 to 241,230,691. Each Ordinary Share carries one vote. United Drug also holds 7,528,066 Ordinary Shares in treasury, which do not carry voting rights.
