Publication of Prospectus
Further to the announcement by the Company on 17 September 2009 concerning the proposed acquisition of Parsons Brinckerhoff for US$626m (c.£380m) which is to be substantially financed by a Rights Issue of approximately £353m (net of Rights Issue expenses), the UK Listing Authority ("UKLA") has approved a combined prospectus and circular to shareholders (the "Prospectus"), dated 18 September 2009.
The Prospectus, which includes the notice convening the General Meeting to be held on 7 October 2009 is being posted shortly to the Company's shareholders. The Prospectus will also be published on the Balfour Beatty website (http://www.balfourbeatty.com ) shortly and will be available for inspection by the public during normal London business hours at the UKLA's Documents Viewing Facility, which is situated at:
