Publication of Class 1 Circular

Liontrust Asset Management Plc (the "Company") announces that later today it will post to shareholders a circular relating to the proposed acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Walker Crips Asset Managers Limited (the "Proposed Acquisition"). The circular will contain a notice convening a general meeting of shareholders to be held at 10 a.m. on 5 April 2012 in the Pinafore Room at The Savoy, Strand, London WC2R 0EU, at which shareholders will be asked, amongst other matters, to approve the Proposed Acquisition and certain amendments to the Company's articles of association.

A copy of the circular and notice of general meeting has been submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at http://www.hemscott.com/nsm.do.

The notice of general meeting and form of proxy can also be viewed on the Company's website, www.liontrust.co.uk, from 17 March 2012.
