On 22 July 2020, the Board of Witan Pacific Investment Trust plc announced it had resolved to appoint Baillie Gifford as the Company's investment manager, company secretary, and administrator, subject to Shareholder approval.

The Company has today published a circular, including notice of a general meeting to Shareholders with further details of the Proposals (the "Circular"). The Circular details the benefits of the Proposals, and the reasons why the Board recommends Shareholders vote in favour of the Resolutions at the General Meeting.

General Meeting

The Circular provides notice of a general meeting of the Company to be held at 12 noon on 16 September 2020 and instructions on how Shareholders are able to return the Form of Proxy for use at the General Meeting.

The circular will be submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at www.data.fca.org.uk/#/nsm/nationalstoragemechanism and will shortly be available to download from the Company's website at www.witanpacific.com.

Given the risks posed by the spread of COVID 19 and in accordance with the Company's articles of association, the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020 and Government guidance, the Company is not expecting Shareholders to attend the General Meeting and will impose entry restrictions on attendance at the General Meeting in order to ensure the health, wellbeing and safety of Shareholders and the Company's officers as well as compliance with the venue's security requirements. Shareholders should submit their Form of Proxy as soon as possible to ensure that their vote is counted.
