Asia Resource Minerals plc ("ARMS" or the "Company")

 

PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk ("PT Berau") Management and Directorate Changes

 

ARMS announces that at the PT Berau AGM on 30 June 2014, the following management and directorate changes were announced:

 

Amir Sambodo, ARMS CEO, is appointed President Director and a member of the Board of Directors of Berau Coal Energy. Eko Budianto is stepping down as President Director and a member of the Board of Directors of Berau Coal Energy.

 

Bob Kamandanu, ARMS Chairman, is appointed President Commissioner, replacing Sofyan Abdul Djalil.

 

Other directorate changes are as follows:

 

Arief Widhartono is appointed as an Independent Director

David Alistair Tonkin is appointed as a Director

 

 

The following changes will also take place to the Board of Commissioners:

 

Alexander Ramlie is appointed as Vice President Commissioner

Eva Novita Tarigan is appointed as a Commissioner

Deswandhi Agusman is appointed as an Independent Commissioner

Hotma Marbun is appointed as an Independent Commissioner

 

 

The following changes will also take place to the Board of Commissioners of PT Berau Coal (the subsidiary of PT Berau Coal Energy):

 

Bob Kamandanu is appointed President Commissioner

Alexander Ramlie is appointed Vice President Commissioner

Hotma Marbun is appointed as a Commissioner

Kenneth Raymond Allan is appointed as a Commissioner

 

The following changes will also take place to the Board of Directors of PT Berau Coal (the subsidiary of PT Berau Coal Energy):

 

Amir Sambodo is appointed President Director

David Alistair Tonkin is appointed as a Director

Issei Watanabe is appointed as a Director

 

 

 

ARMS is also pleased to announce that the Company remains on track to produce our target of 26 million tonnes for 2014, subject to any potential quota limitations by the Indonesian authorities.

 

On costs, for our first quarter this year we announced production costs falling to $38/t (-4%). Our April YTD costs have fallen further, to $37.2/t - from a high in Q4 2013 of $40/t.

 

Amir Sambodo, Chief Executive Officer of ARMS said: "I look forward to continuing the process of delivering further cost reductions and operational improvements at Berau. We are aiming to make continued progress on costs for the remainder of the year with reductions in fuel costs and contracting amongst other areas."
