Proposed Change of Company Name

The Company announces that it has today posted a circular ("Circular") to Shareholders containing a notice convening a general meeting of the Company ("General Meeting") to be held at Portland House, Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DS at 9:00am on Thursday 5th November 2015. The Circular is available on the Company's website, at www.developmentsecurities.co.uk. A copy of the circular has also been submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at: www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/nsm.

The purpose of the General Meeting is to consider and, if thought fit, approve the change of Company name from Development Securities PLC to 'U and I Group PLC'. The Board believes this name articulates that the business has evolved following the integration of Development Securities and Cathedral Group whilst signalling to the external market that the evolved business has a new approach to meeting the demands of the modern marketplace.
