Proposed acquisition of Borland Software Corporation
On 24 June 2009, Micro Focus International plc (MCRO.L or "Micro Focus" or "Group") published its circular relating to the proposed acquisition of Borland Software Corporation ("Borland") (the "Acquisition"). Following the announcement of its increased cash offer on 1 July 2009, Micro Focus has posted a supplementary circular to shareholders in connection with the proposed Acquisition and Readmission of the existing Micro Focus Ordinary Shares to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange. The supplementary circular also contains a revised notice of general meeting indicating that the Micro Focus General Meeting to approve the Acquisition will now be held at 9am on 24 July 2009, instead of on 17 July 2009 as previously notified to shareholders, at The Lawn, 22-30 Old Bath Road, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 1QN
The supplementary circular will be available for inspection at the UK Listing Authority's Document Viewing Facility (situated at 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS, telephone: 020 7676 1000). Copies of the supplementary circular will also be available on the Investor Relations section of the Group's website www.microfocus.com.
