Progress in Asia for Peppa Pig and the eOne Family portfolio
Entertainment One Ltd., (ETO: LSE) the international entertainment group, is pleased to announce that it has secured a series of acquisitions from major broadcasters across Asia that will significantly extend its portfolio of children's programming to audiences in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand.
In addition to the acquisition of the rights for Peppa Pig for all of these Asian audiences, Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom, Tractor Tom and Humf will also be shown to a number of the Asian audiences.
Darren Throop, CEO of Entertainment One said:
"We are delighted to see such appetite for the eOne Family brands, and to see our strategy of growth and international expansion realised in these key Asian markets. These acquisitions are a crucial milestone towards making the eOne Family brands truly global and having achieved this fantastic in-road into the Asian markets, we will continue to focus on long term growth for eOne's Family portfolio.
"This, alongside the launch of the Peppa toy line in the US this month and Peppa winning the Best Television License Program of the Year category at the annual International Licensing Industry Merchandising Association awards in Las Vegas, illustrates the global appeal of Peppa and our other Family properties."
