Professor Robert Brown joins Collagen Solutions as Scientific Adviser

Collagen Solutions plc (AIM: COS), the developer and manufacturer of medical grade collagen components for use in regenerative medicine, medical devices and in-vitro diagnostics, is pleased to welcome Professor Robert Brown of University College London (UCL) as scientific adviser to the company.

Professor Brown has a wealth of experience in the field of collagen chemistry, biomaterials and tissue engineering and will provide expert advice to the company on R+D strategy and novel clinical applications for its products. Through the course of his career, Professor Brown has studied how the sourcing, formulation and processing of collagen biomaterials are critical for their effectiveness as functional components of therapeutic treatments for a range of clinical indications. This exclusive insight will be valuable as the company extends its product range and the range of clinical indications which they support.

Professor Brown is the Director of Research at the Centre for Tissue Regeneration Science within the Institute of Orthopaedics and Musculo-Skeletal Sciences (Division of Surgery) in the UCL Medical School.
