Star Energy Group PLC20 August 2007 20th August 2007 Star Energy Group plc ("Star Energy" or "Company") Avington-3z Production Testing - Preliminary Results Star Energy, the gas storage and onshore UK oil and gas E&P company, completeddrilling operations on the Avington-3z well in Hampshire on July 11th 2007. TheCompany holds a 50% interest in the Avington licence and is the operator. Due to difficulties in installing the planned jet pump completion, the well hasbeen on free-flow production through a 14/64" choke since the 10th of Augustsince which time the well has been producing an average of 470 barrels per dayof 38 deg API oil with only minor traces of water. The well will be left on free-flow production until the jet pump is installed inthe near future.
