Premier Foods plc24 February 2005 PRODUCT RECALL UPDATE Premier Foods plc has been conducting an investigation into the contamination ofChilli Powder that resulted in the recall of a number of products on 18thFebruary, 2005. We have now identified two further products made by Premier thatare affected : Branston Hot and Spicy Sweet Pickle - 310g and Branston Rich andFruity Sauce - 250g. We are recalling these products at once as a precautionarymeasure and have notified the Food Standards Agency. Production of Branston Hotand Spicy Sweet Pickle ended in early 2004. Sales of these products amounted toapproximately £1m in 2004. These are retail products and are not supplied to ourfood ingredients customers. No other Branston products are affected by thisrecall. We will provide further updates as appropriate.
