Concurrent Technologies Plc Product Launch New high performance computer for intensive processing applications
Concurrent Technologies Plc ("Concurrent") a world leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products announces the launch of its latest CompactPCI‚® single board computer, the PP 421/23x.
The CompactPCI‚® family of products is a mainstay for Concurrent's product range and this new product is a significant technical enhancement for Concurrent and its customers. The PP 421/23x has one of the highest specifications available in the market today featuring two Dual-Core Intel‚® Xeon‚® processors - thus providing 4 Cores on a single board; it also supports up to 8 Gbytes of memory. Therefore the board is ideal for very intensive data processing applications within the telecommunications, defence, security, telemetry, scientific and aerospace markets.
This product is a second generation version of an already very successful dual processor Intel‚® Xeon‚® board; however, in addition to providing superior performance, this new board also provides improved power consumption and only occupies 50% of the physical space required by its predecessor.
