High performance board featuring newly released Intel® Core™ i7 processor
Concurrent Technologies Plc ("Concurrent" or the "Company"), a world leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products, announces the launch of its latest high performance CompactPCI® processor board - the PP 712/08x.
In keeping with customer needs, the board has been designed specifically to address the requirements of high performance processing within the telecoms, defence and homeland security markets, and augments the Company's existing family of CompactPCI® boards.
To further demonstrate the Company's dedication to providing customers with the most advanced technology available, this latest board uses processors from Intel® which were only announced today. The PP 712/08x uses the latest 32nm processors from Intel®'s embedded long life roadmap - either the 2.53GHz Intel® Core™ i7, 2.0GHz Intel® Core™ i7 or the 1.06GHz Intel® Core™ i7, keeping Concurrent at the forefront of the market.
The combination of high performance data processing, a large amount of on-board memory and a range of I/O interfaces makes the PP 712/08x suitable for any application requiring high performance processing in the above mentioned target markets. This board answers the continuing demand for improved performance per Watt and will be an ideal upgrade path for existing customers as well as appealing to new projects where very high processing performance is essential.
