Concurrent Technologies PLC25 February 2005 Concurrent Technologies Plc Co-developed product with Thales Computers Concurrent Technologies (the 'company'), a leading manufacturer of high-endembedded computer products, announces the launch of a new computer product, VP315-RC, a co-development with Thales Computers, as part of the company's jointdevelopment agreement. The VP 315-RC is a ruggedised conduction cooled VME single board computerutilizing the 1.2GHz Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor together with Intel'slow-power and highly integrated 855GME chipset. This is a highly rugged computer board which is aimed at the defence, homelandsecurity and transportation markets. The electronics and software were developedby Concurrent Technologies and the ruggedisation was undertaken by ThalesComputers The agreement with Thales Computers, made in April 2004, enables both companiesto go to market sooner with new products, while addressing a wider range ofcustomer needs. Thales Computers' patented RuggedizerTM technology is used totransform the commercial version of a single board computer into a ruggedproduct. Glen Fawcett, Managing Director, Concurrent Technologies, commented: "There is a clear contribution to this project from both companies, thusminimizing joint development risks. The result is a new product available toboth sets of customers who will enjoy an exceptionally rugged product that canwithstand very high shock and vibrations levels at extreme temperature rangesand it does not require any airflow across the board.
