This is aimed at the defence, homeland security andindustrial automation markets. The VP 325 is a very powerful, thermally resourceful product based on Intel's1.8GHz Pentium M processor. Another version of the board, which has a speed of1.4GHz, operates at temperatures as low as minus 40 Celsius or at temperaturesas high as 85 Celsius and is particularly well suited for harsh environments. Since the beginning of 2004, Concurrent Technologies has rolled out a range ofnew products to satisfy the growing demands for ever more powerful and versatileembedded computers. With its short manufacturing cycle, the company is wellplaced within its industry, through its speed of response to evolving customerneeds. The VP 325, for example, is in response to military and transport sectorrequirements to combine the ability to operate in extreme temperatureenvironments whilst running at a higher speed than any existing ConcurrentTechnologies wide temperature board. It is this level of customer fulfilment which helps the company to maintain aleading position in its specialist niche. Glen Fawcett, Managing Director, Concurrent Technologies, commented: "We view the defence market and the United States' growing homeland securityinitiative as being a significant area of growth for Concurrent and theintroduction of this type of product, and the others that will follow during2005, should strengthen our market position and enable us to penetrate into moreapplications." 2nd February 2005 Enquiries: College HillNicholas Nelson Tel: 020 7457 2020 This information is provided by RNS The company news service from the London Stock Exchange
