Permira Advisers LLP02 October 2006 Press speculation re Britvic 2 October 2006 Permira notes the press speculation regarding a possible offer for Britvic plc("Britvic"). To clarify its position, Permira wishes to state that it does notintend to make an offer. Permira reserves the right to make or participate in an offer within the next 6months under following circumstances i) with the agreement or recommendation ofthe Board of Britvic ii) if a third party or Britvic announces an approach oran offer for Britvic iii) the announcement by Britvic of a "whitewash" proposalor of a reverse takeover.
