Scott Tod PLC27 October 2005 Scott Tod plc Re Press Speculation In response to recent press specualtion the Company confirms it has received arequisition for an EGM to consider the following proposals: 1. David Massie be removed from office as a director of the Company forthwithupon the passing of this resolution. 2. Nicholas Tod be appointed as a director of the Company forthwith upon thepassing of this resolution; 3 John Pither be appointed as a director of the Company forthwith upon thepassing of this resolution; and 4. Martin Groak be appointed as a director of the Company forthwith upon thepassing of this resolution. The company has been assured by its largest institutional shareholder (TheBaronsmead VCTs) that it fully supports the Company's current strategy and willvote against the resolutions.
