Sable Mining Africa Limited ('Sable Mining' or 'the Company')

Highly Encouraging Preliminary Assay Results Returned from Nimba Project

Sable Mining Africa Limited, the AIM listed exploration company, is pleased to announce highly encouraging preliminary assay results following surface sampling from its 123.5 sq km Nimba Iron Ore Project in south-east Guinea ('Nimba').

Overview:

·; Highly encouraging final results from surface sampling confirm the potential for Direct Shipping Ore ('DSO')

·; Final results for latest batch of 57 surface grab samples from Plateau 2 have returned grades of up to 69.1% Fe and an average of 61.0% Fe

·; 82% of the sample population of the latest batch of 57 samples have low contaminants, 2O3 and SiO2

·; Total of 141 samples returned to date from the three plateaux, including the latest preliminary results, have returned an average grade of 54.6% Fe

·; 58% of the total sample population has 2O3 and SiO2

·; The project lies only 30km from the newly reopened standard gauge railway in Liberia, which extends 260km from Nimba to the deep water port on the coast at Port Buchanan, which would enable a rapid mining start-up should a DSO resource be defined

Sable Mining CEO Andrew Groves said, "These excellent grades of up to 69.1% Fe, combined with the previously reported depths of up to 31.7 metres, places Nimba amongst some of the most significant iron ore projects being developed globally. The strong potential for a significant DSO resource, coupled with the presence of infrastructure in the area, provides the potential for Sable Mining to rapidly bring this project forward and into production once a resource is quantified."

Results have been returned for 57 additional surface samples that have been taken from the second of the three plateaux, which combined cover approximately 35 sq km at the base of Mount Nimba, the highest iron ore peak in Africa. The Canga-type iron ore accumulations observed are a product of several phases of erosion, deposition and subsequent cementation of material from nearby Mount Nimba.

Final results returned for the recent 57 samples indicate an average grade of 61.0% Fe and a maximum of 69.1% Fe. Contaminants were low with 82% of the samples returning 2O3 and SiO2.

Reconnaissance drilling continues on Plateau 2 with a second rig having now commenced operations. Access for drilling on Plateau 3 is well advanced, with drilling due to commence shortly.
